Wake Forest topples Miami, 62-53
The Wake Forest Demon Deacons kept pace in the ACC with a 62-53 victory over the Miami Hurricanes.
Wake Forest continues to play well at home, which is very important in the ultra-competitive conference.
They got off to a quick start, which enabled them to take a nine-point lead into halftime and never relinquish it.
It was not their sharpest performance of the season, however, as they allowed a 17-point first-half lead to dwindle to three.
Star point guard Ishmael Smith had 11 points, nine rebounds and six assists to lead the Demon Deacons.
